Is there a difference between ‘micro-innovation’ and ‘incremental improvement’?
I hate to ask this kind of weird question but does it matter in terms of difference?
The reason I am asking is I sometimes read in research literature about the concept of "micro-innovation" in technology, which has several dozens definitions but is inevitably boils down to one of the two definitions: minor changes to existing tech or process OR continuous refinement of existing process.
Is that any different from incremental improvement? Or are these completely separate concepts?
