I’m thinking of making short videos like this more often: stuff that gets straight to the point and then links to additional information if you’d like to know more. Let me know what you think: should it be a little longer, just right, or what?
I hope everything is clear…mind maps are a note-taking way of creating idea-networks, so it helps a lot out because it emulates REAL thinking.
In the blog post I say:
“Mind-maps: graphical information-webs that allow you to generate #ideas, structure plans, correlate knowledge and much more in free-form…
What makes mind-maps so hot is that they replicate the your actual, real-time thinking. While normal note taking techniques are “linear” (they suppose that you’re thinking sequentially as in “first I’m going to do this, then I’m going to do that, etc.), mind-maps are “holistic,” (they know that your thoughts tend to offshoot and divert to other thoughts, so they have you “map” a visual representation of that process. This lets you free-form ideas while still having a written structure to capture EVERYTHING).”
